Our roots are as business leaders, outdoor enthusiasts, and eco-marketers, each with a passion for addressing the myriad issues of climate, environment and sustainability with our talents in marketing, messaging, strategy and design. We're guided by an honest commitment and our deep, participatory, first-hand knowledge. Our 100% commitment is to sustainability, environmental and/or green initiatives. It's that focus that delivers longstanding dividends for our clients - such as compounding relationships and opportunities - that few traditional agencies can provide. Indeed, ENVOLVE Strategies is a rare marketing partner, well versed in the deliberate, impactful and meaningful links between operations, commerce

Mark Thien | President, Founder
Specialties: Sustainable Marketing and Public Relations Solutions
Mark is a veteran marketing strategist and public relations professional with 16 years experience of working with prominent national and regional brands. His heavy interests in health/wellness, sustainability and the environment led to the founding of Envolve Strategies as a means of moving traditional marketing, public relations and advertising conversations into more earth-friendly tones. His work has aligned major consumer brands with urban greenways events and with an ongoing campaign against trash that contributed more than 1,800 volunteer hours to the government last year. Mark is also fully adept with public relations as a former reporter for a major daily newspaper and key contributor at three marketing/PR agencies, including one of the largest in the Southeast. Early in his career, Mark served as national communications manager for a national insurance carrier's $72 million dollar line of business, and as national communications director for Tennessee's $10.4 billion tourism industry. His promotional concepts, copy and strategies have been used by AT&T/BellSouth, Bridgestone Americas, Johnston & Murphy, the National Hockey League, and the Saturn Corporation among others. He graduated with a BJ in News-Editorial from the College of Journalism at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Cara Beasley | affiliate
Specialties: Environmental Policy, Sustainable Development, Energy Conservation
In early 2007, Cara laced up her lederhosen and flew to Germany for an internship with the State Office of Environment and Geology in Saxony. (She also developed an affinity for German discotheques and spiced, cured meats). During her eight month stay, Cara participated in two partially funded EU projects concerning energy conservation and the control of particulate matter through Enercy'regio, a partnership of five European regions promoting sustainable development and energy efficiency. It's here where she learned how important it is for governmental agencies to work alongside regional agencies, private companies and non-profit organizations, as well as individual citizens in order to achieve successful project implementation. Back at home, and in more traditional American wardrobe, Cara is closely affiliated with Kilowatt Ours, the Nashville, Tenn.-based non-profit energy reduction group that's working for a healthier planet by educating and advocating renewable power. She is a Boston University graduate with a B.S. in International Relations, a concentration in Environmental Policy and Development, and a minor in German language.
